CLAP Condemns The Brutal Attack on Christians in Sargodha Pakistan
Christian Lawyers Alliance Pakistan (CLAP) strongly condemns the tragic incident that occurred today, on the 25th of May, 2024, in Sargodha city.
The condemnable lynching of an elderly Christian man in Mujahid Colony, Sargodha, by a highly charged Muslim mob targeting Christian homes, businesses, and places of worship is appalling.
The failure of the police to protect the lives and properties of the Christian minority is distressing. Both the Punjab government and the federal government have remained mere spectators, neglecting to utilize military and army rangers to quell the violent mob.
Following this tragedy, we anticipate nothing more than insincere condolences and empty promises of justice from the Pakistani government. The question remains, who will provide solace to the bereaved families of the deceased Christians?
As Christian Lawyers, we vehemently denounce the heinous attack on Christians in Mujahid Colony, District Sargodha, and urge immediate and decisive action against the perpetrators.
